What if it Turns out Good
I started my first business back in 2005, so I’ve now spent over 20 years working for myself and running businesses. And one of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt is not to get too caught up in all the news about the economy.
Of course, it’s important to keep up with what’s happening, but there’s a constant stream of often negative stories out there, and reading too much of it can leave you feeling pretty gloomy about the world!
My approach is simple: concentrate on what you’re doing and do it really well. Whatever market you’re operating in, give your business the attention it deserves, look after your customers and keep moving forward. That’s what gives you the best chance of success.
There’s a saying I particularly like: “What if it turns out good?”
It’s such a simple way of looking at things, especially when you’re considering making a big decision like starting your own business.
This week, I’m sharing an interesting article about entrepreneur Alex Hormozi and his thoughts on the value of professional home cleaning, along with a look at why the industry has such an exciting future.
Finally, I hope you enjoyed Halloween yesterday! And if you’re heading to a fireworks party this week, have a wonderful time -just spare a thought for our four-legged friends who might not enjoy the bangs quite as much!
I hope you enjoy this week’s newsletter!

Why Owning a Home Cleaning Business Could Have a Very Bright Future
When successful entrepreneur and investor Alex Hormozi talks about the best ways to invest money, you might expect him to focus on property, shares or buying businesses.
But there’s another investment he regularly talks about: paying someone to clean your home.
Hormozi has spoken extensively about the importance of buying back your time, suggesting that outsourcing household tasks such as cleaning can free up valuable hours to spend on more important things.
And he’s not alone in recognising the value of professional home cleaning.
A Market That’s Grown by 64%
The UK domestic cleaning market has experienced considerable growth in recent years. According to research the estimated value of the UK domestic cleaning market increased from £3.1 billion in 2018 to £5.1 billion in 2025.
That’s an increase of approximately 64%. While some of that growth reflects higher prices, the figures demonstrate just how substantial the market for professional home cleaning has become.
It’s Not Just About Having a Clean House Anymore
Traditionally, having a regular cleaner might have been considered something of a luxury.
But attitudes are changing. For busy professionals, working parents, retired couples and families juggling increasingly demanding schedules, employing a cleaner can be about much more than keeping the house tidy. It’s about getting back something money can’t replace: time.
Time to spend with family. Time to enjoy hobbies. Time to concentrate on a career or business. Or simply time to relax.
Why Is This Good News for Haus Maids Franchisees?
For someone considering owning a home cleaning business, these changing attitudes present an interesting opportunity.
At Haus Maids, our franchisees aren’t simply selling a one-off cleaning service. They’re building businesses around regular customers who want their homes professionally cleaned week after week.
That creates the opportunity to develop a recurring customer base, rather than constantly having to find entirely new work. And because our franchisees employ professional cleaning teams to deliver the service, the business has the potential to grow as more customers and cleaners are added.
Of course, a growing market doesn’t guarantee success. Recruiting reliable staff, delivering consistently high standards and attracting customers all remain essential. But there’s something encouraging about building a business in a market where people increasingly understand and appreciate the value of what you’re offering.
The future of home cleaning isn’t simply about cleaner houses. It’s about helping people enjoy more of their lives.
And for those considering owning a Haus Maids franchise, that’s a market worth taking a closer look at.

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words!
When you’re starting a new business, getting your marketing right is incredibly important. You want potential customers to see a professional, trustworthy company from the very first time they come across your brand.
But creating that professional image isn’t always easy, particularly when you’re starting from scratch.
Organising professional photography can be expensive and time-consuming, and relying on generic stock photographs doesn’t always give customers an accurate impression of your business. That’s why we’ve invested in building our own library of professional Haus Maids photography.
Our collection includes photographs of our cleaning teams, branded vehicles and the premium home cleaning service we provide, all carefully created to reflect the quality and appearance of the Haus Maids brand. And the best part? Our franchisees can use these photographs in their own local marketing.
Whether they’re creating social media posts, promoting their services online or preparing local advertising, they have access to professional, branded images without needing to organise and pay for their own photo shoots
