New Beginnings and Special Milestones

It’s been another enjoyable week here at Haus Maids Franchising!

I had the pleasure of welcoming two potential new franchisees to my office this week for a chat about the Haus Maids opportunity. Both were really impressive prospects, and I’m hopeful we’ll see them progress towards becoming part of our franchise network.

I also made an early morning visit to one of our franchise businesses to help celebrate a very special milestone, as one of their cleaning team members marked 10 years of service! You can read more about that lovely occasion below.

Another highlight was sitting down with one of our newer franchisees for their three-month review, looking at how things are progressing and putting together a plan for growth over the next quarter.

And finally, I’ve been busy putting the finishing touches to Wednesday evening’s live franchise webinar. I’m really looking forward to sharing what we’ve been working on, and if you’d like to join us, you’ll find the booking details below.

Enjoy this week’s newsletter!

Celebrating 10 Years of Dedication at a Haus Maids Franchise!

This week, one of our Haus Maids franchisees celebrated a very special milestone, as cleaning team member Georgiana marked 10 years of working in their business! Georgiana joined the franchisee’s cleaning team back in 2016 and has been a familiar, friendly face to customers and colleagues ever since. Over the years, she’s become one of the team’s most experienced and reliable cleaners, and also helps train new colleagues when they first join the business.

To help mark the occasion, Richard Knight, our Head of Franchising, made an early morning visit to the franchisee’s office to congratulate Georgiana personally before she headed off for another day cleaning customers’ homes. The team had even organised a special cake to celebrate her anniversary!

But there’s a bigger story behind this milestone.

Building a successful cleaning business isn’t just about attracting new customers. It’s also about finding good people, looking after them and creating an environment where they want to stay.

Recruiting and retaining reliable cleaners is one of the biggest challenges facing any cleaning business. When someone stays for ten years, they build valuable experience, develop relationships with customers and become an important part of the team.

For a franchise owner, having experienced cleaners like Georgiana brings enormous benefits. Customers enjoy a consistent, reliable service, new employees have experienced colleagues to learn from, and the business develops a stronger foundation for future growth.

At Haus Maids Franchising, this is exactly the type of business we want to help our franchisees build.

A business that doesn’t just grow in size, but becomes stronger and more established with every passing year.

A huge congratulations to Georgiana on ten fantastic years, and to the franchisee and their team for reaching such a wonderful milestone!

Owning a Haus Maids Franchise Doesn’t Mean Cleaning Houses!

One of the questions we’re sometimes asked by people considering a Haus Maids franchise is whether they’ll be expected to clean customers’ homes themselves.

The answer is no.

Haus Maids is a professionally managed home cleaning business. Our franchisees are responsible for building and running their own business, while their employed cleaning teams carry out the work in customers’ homes.

So, what does a franchise owner actually do?

In the early stages, much of their time is spent attracting new customers, arranging estimates, recruiting cleaners and making sure everything runs smoothly.

As the customer base grows, so does the team. More regular customers create the need for additional cleaners, vehicles and eventually a larger operation to manage.

A franchisee’s day might involve interviewing a potential new employee, speaking with customers, reviewing the team’s schedules, checking customer feedback or planning how to attract more business in their territory.

It’s a management role, rather than a cleaning role.

Of course, building a successful business takes hard work, particularly in the early days. But the aim is to create something that can grow beyond the work of one individual.

And that’s an important difference.

Someone working as a self-employed cleaner can only take on so many customers because there are only so many hours in the day.

A Haus Maids franchisee, on the other hand, can continue growing their business by recruiting and developing a team to deliver the service.

You’re not simply buying yourself a job. You’re building a business with the potential to grow.

And with the training, systems and ongoing support provided by Haus Maids, our franchisees don’t have to work everything out for themselves.
