From Portsmouth to Newcastle

This week, things have really started to roll.

It’s now been two weeks since we opened our latest recruitment drive for new Haus Maids franchisees, and we’ve been inundated with enquiries.

I’ve spoken with people from all over the UK this week – from Portsmouth, Newcastle, Cheshire and Oxford, to name just a few.

This is probably the stage of franchise recruitment I enjoy the most. I get to tell lots of people about Haus Maids, how the business works and what we’ve built, but I also get to hear their stories – why they’re considering starting their own business and what they want their future to look like.

I’ve already got a number of discovery calls booked for next week, but there’s plenty of space for more.

Creating our Haus Maids Training Videos

Towards the end of 2025, we set ourselves a challenge: to create a professional library of training videos that our franchisees could use within their businesses to train, onboard and develop their cleaning teams.

We didn’t want to do this by halves.

We hired a location house, brought in actors and worked with a professional production company, spending two full days filming everything we wanted our teams to know.

The aim was to cover the important aspects of delivering the Haus Maids service, while giving our franchisees a professional and consistent way of training new team members. Rather than simply explaining how things should be done, their employees can actually see the Haus Maids way of doing it.

The response has been fantastic. The videos are now being used by our franchisees and their teams as part of their ongoing training and development.

But we planned for more than just training…

While we had the cameras rolling, we also created a library of professionally filmed, Haus Maids-branded social media content.

That means our franchisees have access to high-quality reels and videos they can share across their own social channels – without having to organise filming, editing or production themselves.

And, of course, every new Haus Maids franchisee gets access to all of this too.

Why did we put our training videos on YouTube?

We made a deliberate decision to make many of our training videos publicly available on the Haus Maids YouTube channel.

Why?

Imagine you’re looking for a cleaning company. You discover Haus Maids and then come across professionally produced videos showing exactly how our teams are trained to clean and care for customers’ homes.

Before we’ve even walked through their front door, we’re demonstrating the standards and professionalism behind the brand.

And there’s another benefit.

How to fund your franchise?

Often one of the first questions prospective franchisees ask us is: “How can I fund it?”

The good news is that you don’t necessarily need to have the full investment sitting in savings before considering a Haus Maids franchise.

There are a number of potential funding routes available, including the Government-backed Start Up Loans programme.

A Haus Maids Franchise is eligible, and individual applicants can currently apply for between £500 and £25,000, subject to eligibility, affordability, credit checks and lender approval.

Depending on your circumstances and the territory you’re considering, finance could potentially fund a significant proportion or potentially all – of the initial Haus Maids investment.
