Haus Maids were delighted to attend a Charity event hosted by Davina McCall

It was great to hear from Davina and an opportunity to raise money for the children’s charity, Action Medical Research. This is a charity on a mission to save and change children’s lives through medical research, developing treatments, vaccinations and cures. A whopping £71,844 was raised.

We had a wonderful day with an amazing group of ladies, where we all enjoyed a drinks reception and a delicious 3-course lunch. The afternoon was filled with fun and games along with incredible prizes in a live auction, boutique market stalls, live entertainment and a DJ for the after-party.

Davina has raised awareness of the effects of menopause in the workplace. Research has shown that 10% of women quit their jobs due to menopause and I have huge admiration for all the menopause warriors out there.

Davina also took the opportunity to talk about her new show, ”My Mum, Your Dad”. A really good watch, if you haven’t already seen it. Haus Maids had the pleasure of working on the set earlier this year, making sure everything shone between takes.

This year’s event opened with the very talented Jax Hall with her ‘Inspired by Adele show’, performing some of the greatest hits from Adele’s chart storming albums which was then followed by some dancing with ‘Dancing Queens’, one of the UK’s premier Abba Tribute Bands – ABBA’s ANGELS! Having appeared on BBC TV’s The One Show, SKY1 & Sky News as well as performing all over the UK, Europe and the Middle East to crowds of up to 10,000.
