Why did you Choose Haus Maids?
Tom and I have long decided we would like to run our own business, however we never knew what that would be! Interestingly, Tom found an advertisement on Facebook which showed the franchise Haus Maids. This immediately drew us in as we liked the branding which was our first impression of the business. It was modern, eye catching and the wording was appealing. With this in mind, our investigation into the franchise began, fuelling our interest further. On meeting Richard Knight, the franchise director, we felt that his approach was very honest about how we as franchisees would go about establishing the business and the potential growth it could offer us, which ticked a lot of our boxes for what we would like to achieve.
Why did you choose a Home Cleaning Franchise?
We chose a home cleaning franchise because this is an area of interest to us both where we could see our skills in previous employment being put to good use. There are several benefits within this area of business including growth potential – a clean home to many is an essential; not a luxury, start-up costs are reasonable, form of stability within the economy as well as a recognised, established brand which has a presence.
What did you think of the training course?
Once we had signed the franchise agreement, we were ready to get underway as soon as possible and the training could not come soon enough. The weeks training course was rather intense, filling our heads with details about the company, the expected high standards and the inner workings of Haus Maids. It covered all aspects of a domestic cleaning business, from how to clean, to finances, to becoming an employer. This was exactly what we needed. We carried out classroom practice and practical activities demonstrating day-to-day running. All of our questions were answered and at no point did we feel our questions were discounted or undermined but answered fully with reassurance where necessary, even when some of our questions were repetitive in nature! We went away from the training with practical next steps and the encouragement/support we need to make Haus Maids Bishop’s Stortford a success.
How has the experience been overall dealing with Haus Maids Franchise?
Dealing with Haus Maids franchise has been a pleasure, they are very professional and supportive. Correspondence we have sent over has been responded to swiftly, providing appropriate information and following up our enquiries excellently. We have found that when needing to get into contact, someone is always available to answer any queries. On first meeting the Franchise Team, we felt that we would have a good working relationship, which proved further that Haus Maids was for us!
Where do you see Haus Maids Bishops’ Stortford in five years’ time?
In five years time we would like Haus Maids Bishop’s Stortford to have become the best/leading domestic cleaning service within Bishop’s Stortford and all surrounding areas. We would also like to grow the business further and expand into other localities abutting our current district, employing more staff and sponsoring other local businesses/clubs etc.
