Haus Maids Franchisee celebrates first year anniversary and insists “Covid-19 has not dampened our appetite for the business one bit”
Haus Maids franchisee’s Tom and Lacey Davies are celebrating their first year anniversary of their office in Bishops Stortford which opened in May 2019, since May they have built a fantastic business employing five full time employees cleaning for their ever growing client base.
What Tom and Lacey have achieved in their first twelve months is remarkable when you consider they have not only welcomed Blake, their new baby son to their family a few weeks after opening, they are now needing to deal with the Corona Virus crisis.

Just twelve months ago Tom and Lacey joined us at Haus Maids head office for their induction training, never did any of us imagine within a year their business would be temporarily closed due to a global pandemic.
So with all that in mind we thought we would ask them how their first year at Haus Maids has been……..
Tell us your thoughts on your first year as a Haus Maids Franchisee?
Our first year trading has been a challenging one especially with the unprecedented events of the last Month or so. However, we have relished building up our business month on month and have learned a lot along the journey.
A year later are you pleased you made the decision to purchase a Haus Maids Franchise?
Absolutely, it was always going to be a risk going into the unknown, however we feel our decision has been fully vindicated due to the growing success of the business month on month.
How has the support from Haus Maid Head Office been throughout your first year?
Support from head office has always been there whenever we have required it, you cannot ask for any more than that when investing into a new franchise.
What has the most challenging part of running your franchise been?
The most challenging part of the business has been to temporarily close due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Unfortunately, it came at a time where we had started growing at a fast pace, we have learnt a huge amount from this period and it has not dampened our appetite for the business one bit.
What has been the best bit of running your Franchise?
The best part of owning our franchise has been having the opportunity to work within local communities and supporting charities and sponsorships of local events. Also, although we have put a huge amount of work into the business, it has allowed us the flexibility to have a healthy work-life balance.
Would you recommend a Haus Maids Franchise? We would indeed! We had done a lot of research into the franchise industry before we opened our Haus Maids office and we genuinely feel that we made the right choice. We could not be happier and prouder with what we have achieved with the business and the fantastic support we have had from our Franchise team.
We are currently seeking further franchise partners in all parts of the UK who would like to run a professional home cleaning management franchise. You can download a prospectus from their website www.hausmaids-franchise.co.uk
